SP 4400 HST
The SP 4400 HST (38hp) is an articulated hydrostatic, compact, super-handling tractor designed for the maintenance of pedestrian areas and city centres, the cleaning of roadways and pavements, snow clearance and the care of public parks and gardens. The SP can be fitted with front, top and rear fitting equipment whilst maintaining good working speeds. A convenient loading platform on the back of the bonnet renders
the SP useful during material movement.
As far as mechanical innovations are concerned, the SP uses rear reducers that increase stability and handling, in addition to the hydraulically controlled brakes that guarantee decisive modular braking. The foot pedal hydraulically operates the hydrostatic transmission contributing to drive comfort in terms of practicality and safety. The JM™ joystick which controls the equipment is ergonomically positioned so that the operator has everything close to hand. In addition, for the tasks that require constantly controlled movement the operator can use the speed-fix device that holds a given speed during operation.
ACTIOTM: ANTONIO CARRARO full chassis with oscillation
ACTIO TM is the only system of chassis oscillation that minimises lateral shaking to the operator both on slopes and when overcoming obstacles due to the fact that the seat is positioned at the chassis’ centre of oscillation. Traditional tractors with supported engines distribute their weight evenly on both axles; with the equipment mounted they have between 60 and 70% of their weight concentrated on the rear axle. The consequence of this is an extremely unbalanced vehicle which often needs front ballasting and this in turn increases the pressure on the ground and the vehicle’s overall length. The SP 4400 HST, thanks to its ACTIOTM chassis with its overhanging engine redistributes the total weight of the tractor - 60% on the front axle and 40% on the rear one. In this way by fitting equipment to the power lift there is an equal redistribution of the tractor and equipment’s total weight: 50% on the front and 50% on the rear. In other words, the SP 4400 HST when appropriately fitted out acts as a single unit made up of two completely independent tractors of the same mass and dimension which oscillate independently of each other at 15°. Oscillation between the two parts occurs at the centre of the chassis so during the critical phase of overcoming an obstacle the two parts counterbalance each other thereby noticeably reducing lateral shaking and shifts in the vehicle’s centre of gravity. In addition, thanks to its central articulation, the SP 4400 HST is the perfect vehicle for “slalom” movements amongst plants and as its rear wheels follow the track of the front ones soil compression is minimised.
Thanks to the special feature of ACTIO TM i.e. full chassis with oscillation, the articulated SP 4400 HST is able to use extremely narrow steering angles. The chassis’ central articulation occurs via two simple effect jacks, which render the steering light even when understeering. The homokinetic joints of the central transmission are articulated which allows tighter angles without wheel locking and subsequent turf damage that entails. Gentle yet accurate steering is ensured even with low engine revs by the special “Load Sensing” valve, which guarantees the hydraulic priority to the steering system. The “Antishock” valve prevents possible shocks to the front wheels from being transferred to the steering wheel. In order to reduce the turning circle without damaging the ground it is possible to disengage the axle on the rear wheels (keeping the traction on the heavier axle).
ADVANTAGES
· Extremely tight turning circle
· Drastic reduction in number of manoeuvres
· Greater accuracy of manoeuvre
· Greater productivity
· Less wear on tyres
· Less turf damage
Space, ergonomics and comfort
Three words to describe the working environment provided by the SP 4400 HST.
Space: because despite its reduced external dimensions it provides the operator with a very relaxing drive position. Thanks to its reclining and height adjustable steering wheel and adjustable seat, accessibility and comfort are obtainable by taller than average drivers. In addition all the electrical cables and hydraulic pipes are kept together in one tunnel under the cab which renders the driver’s seat clean and safe.
Ergonomics: because all the most commonly used controls have been put in positions of easy access in order to reduce operator stress to a minimum even after many hours of use. The pedal for forward and reverse direction is positioned at the centre of the driver’s seat so that it can be easily reached but at the same time the necessary space to allow the operator to reach the brake pedal in the case of danger has been left.
Comfort: because the driver’s seat with its pneumatic suspension and mounting platform are very close to the ground; all of the tractor’s most important control instruments are positioned on the rotating the control consol and are instantly recognisable also thanks to the audible alarms. A glance is all that is necessary to check the temperature of the engine’s cooling liquid, its rev count, its speed or the state of clogging of the hydrostatic transmission’s filter system.
ADVANTAGES
· Greater productivity
· Rapid return on investment
· Less operator stress
Three speed ratio transmission
The SP 4400 HST’s transmission offers three speed ranges in both drive directions in order to allow the selection of the right speed according to the equipment fitted and working conditions. The actual speed of the vehicle can be verified via the sensitive speedometer with digital display so the operator has the possibility to see every forward movement speed variation of the vehicle measured in hundredths of a metre per hour.
ADVANTAGES
· Possibility of selecting the right speed range according to the equipment fitted and working conditions.
· Less wear and tear of the VIAC 28 TM monogroup
· Greater productivity
· Lower fuel consumption
· Quick road transfer which reduces the need to transport it by truck
· Quicker return on initial investment
3 TNV 88 BDCR
3 TNV 88 BDCR is the identification code of the engine which is used on the SP 4400 HST. This engine is the evolution of the TN series that YANMAR has been successfully producing for a number of years. It is the result of many years of research into direct injection engines, optimisation of combustion, reduction in fuel consumption, low noxious emissions, noise levels all of which will all be considered in more detail later. BDCR are the initials that YANMAR gives to its 3 TNV 88 engines which are fitted on to Antonio CARRARO tractors. We are talking about an engine exclusively set for medium-heavy industrial and civil use perfect in every way for vehicles with hydrostatic transmissions. In other words it is the only TNV engine with a maximum power capacity of 38 HP.
The new Antonio Carraro mower range is dedicated to the most demanding green professionals.
Implements built according to the highest quality standard to guarantee the greatest reliability, profi tability and unprecedented strength.
MOWER WITH RT 1500 HDS TURBINE
The HDS (Heavy Duty Super) equipment is fitted with a reinforced frame with three extremely resistant blades that guarantee uniform cutting in all conditions. The cutting width of 150 cm is the same as the plate itself thus allowing perfect cutting right up to the edge. These mowers, even on difficult ground conditions such as long grass, are able to cut at a very high speed.
The RT 1500 HDS mower solves the two old problems associated with traditional mowers of cut regulation and blocking in a very new way.
The system allows the cutting height to be adjusted very quickly using a simple system of wheel height spacers. In sharp contrast to other mowers, the aspiration turbine is situated above the plate in a semi-central without lateral protrusions; this allows it to cut grass at the edges of pavements and kerbsides, both on its right and left sides.
For an easier maintenance the mower can be placed upright.
