CATEGORIES ARE CATEGORIES

From the customer: How to avoid being conned

Our customers often ask: “How do I know the type of certification the cab that I am buying has?”

Our answer: inside the cab the manufacturer must clearly display a plate certifying the cab’s category. If there isn’t this plate the cab is not in full

accordance with current legislation. The category of the cab must be written on each plate: 1-2-3-4. In the cabs with Category 4 certification, in

order to increase the safety factor there must be an AirControl device, which monitors pressurisation and the efficiency of the active carbon filters

required to purify the air. Category 4 certification guarantees maximum isolation of the operator from the external environment by protecting

him from dust, aerosols and vapours, the typical harmful inhalations that no operator should breath during crop spraying.

All categories are regulated by the European Directives EN 15695-1:2009. Atmospheric agents are not present or indicated by the directive.

When citing the term CATEGORY one refers to a specific series of elements of the directive belonging to certain types of poison protection.
