On the 23rd of May 2013 in the charming “Palazzo Arzaga Hotel Spa&Golf Resort” in Calvagese della Riviera, Lake Garda
(Italy), the TTR 4400 HST II was presented to a host of international journalists, judges of the “Tractor of the year 2014” who
decided to award it “Finalist” in the category “Best of specialized”. The verdict will be given at the trade fair Agritechnica in
Hannover (Germany) on the 10th November 2013.

ONE OF A KIND
The TTR 4400 HST II is one of a kind: equal
sized wheels, reversible, hydrostatic, 38 HP.
The combination of its features allows
it to adopt various operative settings at
any time of year, especially with regard
to civil maintenance: park maintenance,
street cleaning, grass cutting on motorway
embankments, sports grounds and golf
club green area maintenance (thanks to
minimum ground pressure), winter roadway
maintenance, digging and earth movement
in nurseries and on building sites. It is also
particularly suitable for agricultural activities
such as working the ground, treating vines,
use in the greenhouse along with the
collection of fruit and vegetables. The TTR
can easily be adapted to all types of terrain
and ground activities thanks to its speed-
fix system which is fitted with a hydrostatic
transmission that allows for the fixing of
forward speeds, its reversibility (Rev-Guide
System™), the ACTIO™ chassis with a low
centre of gravity, the double speed of the
standard PTO (540 and 1000 rpm) and to
its four equal wheel drive. The bodywork
of the TTR 4400 HST II follows the curved
lines of the AC top of the range models; the
bonnet can be completely opened up to ease
maintenance. Excellent access, space and
ergonomic controls characterise the drive
position. The platform is mounted on silent-
block thus guaranteeing maximum operative
comfort.

The competition “Tractor of the Year”
started in 1998 from an idea by the
Italian magazine “Trattori”, to involve
the journalists from the main European
journals in the agricultural machine sector
in the choice of “Tractor of the Year”. At
present there are 23 journalists taking
part. Each year the main brands of tractor
manufacturers present their model to
the jury, which compares and evaluates
the candidates according to a series of
parameters, with the goal of awarding the
following prizes “Tractor of the year”, “Best
of specialized” and “Golden Tractor for the
Design”.
Over the years Antonio Carraro has always
appeared amongst the finalists and has
won “Best of specialized” twice: in 2001
with the TC/TN Ergit and in 2012 with the
TRH 9800.
