This is the Privacy Policy of Antonio Carraro S.p.A., VAT no. 00186830287, with registered office at via Caltana 24, 35011 Campodarsego (PD) (here in after also referred to as “Carraro” or the “Company”). The purpose of this document is to inform visitors to the website www.antoniocarraro.it (the “Website”) about Company policy on the protection of personal data, as well as to highlight the commitment made and the attention given to protecting the privacy of clients and Website visitors.
There are no restrictions on browsing the Website and no registration is required, except for some areas in which users can freely and expressly provide personal data in order to access certain services that are identified specifically. Visitors wishing to provide personal data in order to access those services will be expressly informed, pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - General Data Protection Regulation, with examples, about the reasons why the Company collects their data and how it will be used, as well as about their right to request at any time its erasure or correction.

Information on the protection of personal data

Antonio Carraro S.p.A. provides the following information to Website visitors pursuant and consequent to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter the “Regulation”).

  1. Types of personal data processed
No registration is necessary in order to access the Website. However, some sections of the Website do require registration or the input of a username and password (e.g the “PRESS Area” section), while some services require the input of personal data for their use (e.g. data needed by the Contact Us service).
Pursuant to art. 13 of the Regulation, before Antonio Carraro S.p.A. collects information and personal data from users, they will be informed about the reasons for collecting it and how it will be used. When necessary, Antonio Carraro S.p.A. will arrange to obtain specific user consent before using their data. For example, certain personal data such as name and surname, telephone number, e-mail address and other information may be requested that, by completing a specific registration form, users agree to provide in order to use the Website services. Antonio Carraro S.p.A. will use the personal data collected on-line solely for the purposes indicated at the time of registration.
Data about connecting to and browsing the Website (such as the URI-Uniform Resource Identifier of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to make the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server - success, error, etc. - and other parameters relating to the operating system and the IT environment of the user) is only collected in order to obtain anonymous statistical information about use of the Website and check that it is functioning properly. Such data is deleted immediately after processing. The above data might also be used to determine liability should IT offenses be committed to the detriment of the Website: excluding this hypothetical situation, the data will be deleted after the time required to provide the services described on the Website.

  1. Purposes and lawfulness of processing
Data is collected and processed strictly for purposes associated with use of the Website and its services. The purposes for which data is used are detailed in the specific information provided on the Website whenever data is collected. Accordingly, please read the information provided in each case about the characteristics of the processing to be carried out by Antonio Carraro S.p.A. (e.g. “PRESS Area” registrations, Contact Us details, etc.).
The data will be processed in full compliance with the privacy regulations.
The data of Website users will be processed:
  • pursuant to art. 6, para. 1.b), of the Regulation in order to administer use of the services requested via the Website and to respond to any requests made;
  • following their consent, pursuant to art. 6, para. 1.a), of the Regulation, in order to send commercial communications.
In all cases, processing will be carried out in compliance with the measures in force at the time - and any subsequent amendments and/or additions - issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (including the Guidelines for promotional activity and the avoidance of spam dated July 4, 2013, and the general instructions for cookies - Identification of simplified procedures for providing information about cookies and obtaining consent for their use dated May 8, 2014).

In general, the provision of personal data is optional. However, in some cases, failure to provide such data may make it impossible to access specific services or obtain something requested (e.g. registration is necessary in order to access the “PRESS Area”).
Failure to provide data may therefore mean that Antonio Carraro S.p.A. cannot allow access to the Website services or respond to information requests.
The data required from time to time is indicated on the data collection forms found on the Website - e.g. marked with an asterisk (*) - and the consequences for failing to provide it are stated in the specific information provided on the data input pages.
 
  1. Methods of data processing and dissemination
The data may be processed both electronically and in hard-copy form. Antonio Carraro S.p.A. guarantees that the personal data provided via the Website will be processed lawfully and in a proper manner, in full compliance with current regulations, and that the data provided at the time of registration will be kept strictly confidential. The data will not be communicated or disseminated to third parties, except to the extent and on the conditions expressly stated in the information provided from time to time to the users concerned, and only after obtaining their consent when required by the applicable regulations. Where necessary, the Company has appointed the recipients of the personal data of users as Processors pursuant to art. 28 of the Regulation. The names of all Processors may be requested by sending an e-mail to privacy@antoniocarraro.it. The data will be processed by persons expressly authorized to administer the Website who work within the Commercial Department - Advertising & Marketing Office, the After-Sales Department, the IT Systems Office and the Personnel Office.
 
  1. Links to other websites
This Privacy Policy only applies to the Website www.antoniocarraro.it and not to any other websites that users may consult by following links. Antonio Carraro S.p.A. cannot be held responsible for the personal data provided by users to third parties or to any websites linked to this Website.
 
  1. Profiling and/or customization tools
Antonio Carraro S.p.A. does not send out any promotional communications without express prior consent from the users concerned. The Website uses both technical cookies (to facilitate browsing and use of the Website) and profiling cookies (to analyze users and their behavior and preferences, and to deliver customized advertising to them).

  1. Data processing location
The processing associated with the services provided by the Website is carried out at the offices of Antonio Carraro S.p.A., indicated in letter a) above, by persons tasked with processing within the IT Systems Office and the Commercial Department - Advertising & Marketing Office.
 
  1. Data retention period
The personal data will be processed for the time envisaged in the specific information provided at the time of collection (e.g. on registration for the “PRESS Area”, use of the Contact Us service, etc.).
The user data collected via the “Contact Us” section of the Website will be processed for the time needed to manage correctly the information or support request made by each user and then deleted.
Should users decided to create a private area by registering for the “PRESS Area” of the Website, their data will be processed for as long as the account remains active.

  1. Rights of data subjects
By sending an e-mail to privacy@antoniocarraro.it, users may exercise the rights specified in arts. 15 to 22 of the Regulation, including those to know what information is being processed, how and for what purposes, to rectify or erase the data provided, to restrict usage of the data, to receive the data or request its portability to another controller, all without prejudice to the right to change the consents given (if any). Additionally, users may always object to the processing of their data including, in particular, for marketing purposes.
Arts. 15 to 22 of the Regulation recognize specific rights to data subjects, including:
  • confirmation of whether or not their personal data is being processed;
  • access to their personal data and the information indicated in art. 15 of the Regulation;
  • rectification of any inexact or incomplete personal data about them, without unjustified delay;
  • erasure of their personal data without unjustified delay;
  • restriction of the processing of their personal data;
  • notification of any rectification or erasure or restriction on the processing of their personal data;
  • portability of their personal data (receive or send it to another controller) in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format;
  • objection at any time, for reasons associated with their specific situation, to the processing of their personal data.

Users who believe that the processing of their personal data does not comply with the provisions of the Regulation, may always file a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or, if different, the Data Protection Authority of their country of residence or work, or the country in which the alleged breach took place.

This Privacy Policy is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, which guarantees that personal data is processed with full respect for the rights, fundamental freedoms and dignity of the data subjects concerned, with special reference to confidentiality, personal identity and the right to the protection of personal data.

Antonio Carraro S.p.A. reserves the right to revise, amend or simply update this Privacy Policy and all other information and communications contained on this Website, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, in any way and/or at any time without notice, not least to take account of any changes in legislation and/or the regulations governing the protection of personal data. All amendments and updates to this Privacy Policy will be notified to users on the Home Page of the Website as soon as they are made. They will become binding immediately upon publication in this section of the Website. Accordingly, users are requested to visit this section regularly in order to check for the publication of the most recent and updated Privacy Policy.
